MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL PLAYERS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION BRINGS LEGENDS FOR YOUTH BASEBALL CLINIC SERIES TO BOSTON

Free youth baseball clinic to feature Rich Rodriguez, Dennis “Oil Can” Boyd and other MLB Alumni

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Local youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series on Sunday, September 20th, 2015. In partnership with the Boston Red Sox, the free clinic features former Major League Baseball players who will teach baseball skills, drills and life lessons for approximately 200 local youth.

Players attending* include 13-year MLB veteran Rich Rodriguez and former Red Sox right-handed pitcher Dennis “Oil Can” Boyd, as well as Tom Grant, Skip Lockwood and Norman Phillips.These five players combine for 37 seasons and 1,227 games in Major League Baseball.

The clinic will take place at Clifford Park, runningfrom 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., located at 171 Norfolk Ave., Boston, MA 02119. Alumni players will train at stations including pitching, catching, base running and life skills. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The morning will conclude with an autograph session for children in attendance.
