Junior League of Sarasota’s Frontline Hospital Worker Campaign Feeds Sarasota Memorial Hospital Staff

SARASOTA, FL, – OCTOBER 20, 2020 — On October 6, 2020, Members of the Junior League of Sarasota (JLS) presented the Sarasota Memorial Hospital staff with food from funds raised during the Frontline Hospital Workers Campaign. From July through September 2020, JLS raised monetary donations in the amount of $1,015.00 for this campaign. Funds raised provided twenty pizzas from Origin Craft Beer & Pizza Cafe, and one hundred donuts from Der Dutchman. JLS members Anne Marie Timm and Kayla Murphy are credited with initiating this campaign and recognizing the need to assist our hospital staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. More food will soon be delivered to sustain hospital staff in their time of need.

The Junior League of Sarasota is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
