For five decades, Musicians from Marlboro has provided some of the world’s most exceptional young musicians with their first invaluable touring experience and exposure, and audiences around the country with wonderfully varied programs (voice, woodwinds, strings and piano) of seldom-heard and new works, as well as chamber music favorites – all performed with the thorough preparations, passion and high standards that Marlboro is known for.
So, if you can join us tonight at 7 PM for WQXR’s webcast of their special salute for Musicians from Marlboro’s 50th Anniversary or at a later date on our or WQXR’s websites, we’d love to have you come celebrate with us.  And, even better, come hear one of our first tour concerts in October.
Greetings,
Frank
Musicians from Marlboro
Join Us as We Kick Off the Season with Works by
Earl Kim, Gabriel Fauré, and Mozart.
You don’t have to read the Washington Post to know that: “Not only is the virtuosity of ‘Musicians from Marlboro’ . . . consistently jaw-dropping, but the freshness, rich imagination and sheer vitality of their playing is enough to make even the most jaded concertgoer edge to the front of his seat.”

The first East Coast tour of the season offers a program with a wonderful mix of unique chamber works typical of MFM tours:
Earl Kim’s impressionistic “Three Poems in French” for soprano & string quartet
Fauré’s Piano Quartet in C Minor, Op. 15
Mozart’s String Quintet in E-Flat, K. 614
