“Heartlines” – a track from Broods’ forthcoming album, Conscious – was released today and can be streamed now on Spotify and VEVO. Zane Lowe gave the song its World First premiere yesterday on Apple Music Beats 1, calling it an “instant pop classic.” Broods co-wrote “Heartlines” with fellow New Zealanders Lorde and Joel Little, and it’s one of their new album’s most potent pop moments. With a stomping beat and clapping synths, the song is an exuberant ode to jumping state lines, grabbing onto the one you love, and running towards whatever it is that makes you happy.

Fans who pre-order Conscious at http://smarturl.it/Conscious will instantly receive “Heartlines” plus “Couldn’t Believe” and the album’s anthemic first single, “Free.” Conscious, which will be released on June 24, is also available in CD, cassette and exclusive clear vinyl formats via the band’s website.

“Free,” already in the Top 30 at Alternative radio, has more than 6 million streams worldwide on Spotify and nearly 8 million streams worldwide across all platforms. The single has been certified Gold in Australia and New Zealand. The official video for “Free,” which has more than one million views, can be seen HERE. Fans can view the band’s performance of “Free” on“The Late Late Show with James Corden” HERE.
Broods – composed of Georgia and brother Caleb Nott – are performing at numerous radio station concerts this month. Broods will kick off their North American headline tour on August 1 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC. The summer run will include a show at New York City’s Webster Hall on August 2 and an August 23 concert at The Novo in Los Angeles. Tickets are available now at www.broodsmusic.com.

Conscious is the follow up to Broods’ 2014 debut album, Evergreen, which contained the singles “Bridges” and “Mother & Father” and climbed into the Top 10 of Billboard’s Alternative Albums chart. Joel Little (Lorde, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding), who produced Evergreen, served as Executive Producer on Conscious, producing many of the tracks. Additional producers include Broods, Alex Hope (Troye Sivan) and Captain Cuts.
