FROM MTV MAKING THE BAND TO MAKING THE NEXT BIG THING

Donnie Klang and Matthew LaPorte, Owners of The Loft Sound Studio Have Built Long Islands Premiere Music Artist Development Factory and the Proof is in the Results

Plainview, NY – Donnie Klang, the P Diddy protege and MTV Making The Band Season 4 and 5 Winner, who was once signed to Sony Music by Beyonce’s father Matthew Knowles, has proven himself not only a hit maker, but a star maker – both before the age of 30.

You may know him from TV, radio and his tours across the country with people like Jason Derulo, but Donnie – alongside his producing partner and best friend Matt LaPorte – is also part of the next generation of music impresarios who, with the help of their talent at performing and also at producing, are working on saving the business.

Proving their star potential on both sides of the ball so to speak – to use a sports metaphor – Matt and Donnie have hit instant success as producers; finding and developing pop sensation Madison Beer and landing her a deal with Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun. Since then, the team has spent time getting artists on shows like X Factor and having their “next big thing” Justin Johnes on this year’s The Voice Season 7. They have also created and are developing a girl band known as The Janes who will be making their debut this winter, and are representing the beautiful songstress MarisaAnn, who will be performing tonight, Thursday October 30th at 8pm at Revolution Bar and Music Hall in Amityville, NY on tour with Aaron Carter.

“Our business is finding and helping to sculpt and create the next generation of superstars” says Donnie Klang, and they are encouraging artists, managers, agents, labels and media to reach out to discuss future collaboration by emailing [email protected].

ABOUT THE LOFT SOUND STUDIO:

To hear them tell the story, Donnie Klang and Matt Laporte met at 13 years old in a private high school in Oyster Bay Long Island and instantly became best friends with their shared goal of making it big in the music business. Matt and Donnie’s first venture into the field was as members of a boy-band who were able to generate excitement worldwide and receive accolades from leaders in the field like N’sync and The Backstreet Boys. These were the days before YouTube, they hustled and by gaining local fans they caught the attention of Beyoncé Knowles father Mathew Knowles who signed them to Sony NYC on a development record deal.

As is true in most bands, after a few years the boys split ways. Donnie, Matt and one of the other members went on to try out for P Diddy’s casting call of MTVs Making The Band 4. Donnie went on to win the show with a solo record deal landing him a spot on MTV for several seasons, a hit single featuring P Diddy and shows across the country working with artists such as Jason Derulo.

As Donnie’s performing career has slowed down (for now), he teamed back up with Matt to create a state of the art 2400 sq ft studio out of a 10’x10′ loft in a commercial business in what is now aptly known as The Loft Sound Studio located on Long Island which has garnered local praise in Newsday and on News 12 and Fox TV. The sky is the limit for this impressive team of musical lifers.
