Additionally, Turner will be performing in New Haven, CT at College Street Music Hall with a full band on Monday, March 14 with support from Canada’s Northcote. He will also be making a solo, headline appearance at High Dive in Gainesville, FL on March 17 (with fellow Xtra Mile labelmates Skinny Lister, Beans on Toast and Will Varley) prior to performing as part of this year’s Flogging Molly Salty Dog Cruise during St Patrick’s Day weekend (March 18-21). This three-night, four-day floating festival aboard the Norwegian Sky will leave Miami with two stops in the Bahamas – one in Nassau and one on a private island – with performers Fishbone, Rancid, The Slackers and many more. Information on the cruise can be found via the event’s official homepage, http://floggingmollycruise.com.

It has been an eventful decade for Frank Turner, the troubadour from Winchester whose solo career started in September 2005 after his post-hardcore band Million Dead played their last show at Southampton Joiners. He immediately took to the road with just a rucksack and an acoustic guitar, playing dive bars, pubs, squats, house parties and anywhere else that would have him – slinging homemade demo CDs at the shows. Slowly he built up a fervent following and his solo career has been on a stunning upward curve ever since emerging from the underground to a bona fide global success story, headlining arenas and selling out shows all over the world, including selling out Wembley Arena in 2012 and The O2 Arena in 2014.

In 2015 he released his sixth studio album, Positive Songs For Negative People, which entered the Official Album Chart at Number 2 (beaten to the top spot by Dr. Dre releasing his first album in 16 years). He recently wrapped up a large U.S. headline tour with supports Skinny Lister and Beans on Toast that included two sold out nights at House Of Blues in Boston and three sold out nights at Irving Plaza in New York City. In November, Turner returned to the UK for a large headline tour, culminating at London’s massive Alexandra Palace.
