RELEASES COLLECTION OF REMIXES FOR
“SMOKE FILLED ROOM”
OUT NOW ON ULTRA MUSIC
Electronic production duo MAKOLogan Light and Alex Seaver–has released a remix collection featuring new takes from Fawks, Luca Schreiner and SCNDL on their intoxicating latest single “Smoke Filled Room,” which is currently exploding across the country in clubs and at dance radio. The three-song remix EP is available now on Ultra Music.
Tracklisting for Smoke Filled Room Remixes:
1. Smoke Filled Room (Fawks Remix)

2. Smoke Filled Room (Luca Schreiner Remix)

3. Smoke Filled Room (SCNDL Remix)

LessThan3.com premiered the remix by rising LA-based producer Fawks and noted “…a Fawks Flip in the drum & bass realm was a pleasant surprise. ‘That girl I knew’ that Mako references in the original parties a bit harder in Fawks’ version, which delivers punchy vocal D&B-pop goodness on par with such success stories like I See Monstas or Sigma.” (11/10/15) 20-year-old German producer Luca Schreiner is also making a big name for himself. In addition to his masterful reworking of “Smoke Filled Room,” Luca recently released a remix for OMI’s new single “These Are The Days” as well as “Only Love,” Shaggy’s track featuring Pitbull. Australian production team SCNDL round out the EP with a high-energy remix; a video of the duo offering a teaser of the track is here.
“This song is a really big step forward for us,” MAKO shares. “We believe it’s somewhat of an insight into where we’d like to take our project ahead. It’s much more of an emphasis on songwriting from a place of storytelling and experience and less about power of production underneath. In that sense it definitely feels a little risky since it might not come across as ‘obvious’ as some of our past records. Hoping this one can paint a visual world for our audience in a way that they might not normally experience.”
MAKO‘s “Smoke Filled Room” has received over 3 million plays on Spotify and YouTube. The original track was co-produced by rising New York City producer Prince Fox and mixed by Grammy award-winning engineer Miles Walker (Rihanna, Kygo, Deorro) and again showcases the duo’s unique ability to merge their emotive and inspiring songwriting talents with state of the art production. MAKO’s Alex Seaver assumes lead vocal duties.

About MAKO:
In an era where unexpected ingredients thrive, MAKO (Logan Light and Alex Seaver) offers a truly unique experience. Before an introduction was made, the two budding artists spent their early life progressing musically in radically different worlds. Alex attended The Juilliard School on full scholarship as musician and played with some of the world’s elite classical artists in the most storied of venues. Meanwhile, Logan was quietly mastering the art of DJing and within only a few years, began opening for some of dance music’s biggest international acts, including Tiesto and Avicii, and major appearances including Lollapalooza.  The duo’s first release “Beam” quickly circulated on blogs and YouTube, logging more than 5.7 million views to date. The track was featured on SiriusXM’s Beta Test Tuesday which then prompted them to proclaim MAKO is “the next big thing.” Since then, MAKO has found themselves in studio with some of dance music’s top artists: Avicii, Steve Angello, Sander Van Doorn, R3hab, DubVision, Heather Bright, Le Castle Vania and many others.
