MAKO CONFIRMED TO PERFORM WITH 40-PIECE ORCHESTRA
AT THE LAKE GEORGE MUSIC FESTIVAL AUGUST 24

Electronic production duo MAKO is known for releasing cinematic and emotive dance music with an emphasis on insightful songwriting. Their newest single “Into The Sunset” (Ultra  Music) has returned acoustically and live showcasing the mulit-dimension of their songwriting craft. With a dynamic rhythm of beautifully produced vocals featuring MAKO‘s Alex Seaver, the single has transformed into an easy-listening hit fit for the summer breeze.  The original version of “Into The Sunset” is MAKO‘s fastest streaming single to date, rapidly approaching four million plays and is growing at radio.

The duo is also slated to perform on two Wednesdays (August 19 and 24) at the Lake George Music Festival (LGMF) in Upstate New York, where they will collaborate with the festival’s classical orchestra. The first date will be a ‘Late Night Concert’ (10:30 PM EST) hosted at King Neptunes Nightclub; while the ‘Sounds of Our Time’ event–an innovative concert series that will explore connections through cross musical genres–will take place at the Shepard Park Amphitheater (8 PM EST). The music performed will be unique arrangements of MAKO’s original music transcribed for electronics, vocals, and orchestra. The LGMF orchestra is comprised of 40 young artists representing many national professional orchestras and music conservatories and is conducted by Roger Kalia.
This year, the pair took the #1 spot at dance radio with their latest track “Smoke Filled Room,” and recently released a remix EP for their track “Way Back Home” featuring the likes of Paris & Simo, Two Friends, TastyTreat, FURY and Jyye.  Other recent tracks from MAKO include “I Won’t Let You Walk Away,” featuring vocals from Madison Beer and “Children Of The Wild,” MAKO’s collaboration with Steve Angello.
Look for MAKO‘s debut album set to release later this year.

About MAKO:
In an era where unexpected ingredients thrive, MAKO(Logan Light and Alex Seaver)offers a truly unique experience. Before an introduction was made, the two budding artists spent their early life progressing musically in radically different worlds. Alex attended The Juilliard School on full scholarship as musician and played with some of the world’s elite classical artists in the most storied of venues. Meanwhile, Logan was quietly mastering the art of DJing and within only a few years, began opening for some of dance music’s biggest international acts, including Tiesto and Avicii, and major appearances including Lollapalooza.  The duo’s first release “Beam” quickly circulated on blogs and YouTube, logging more than 5.7 million views to date. The track was featured on SiriusXM’s Beta Test Tuesday which then prompted them to proclaim MAKO is “the next big thing.” Since then, MAKO has found themselves in studio with some of dance music’s top artists: Avicii, Steve Angello, Sander Van Doorn, R3hab, DubVision, Heather Bright, Le Castle Vania and many others.
