DRAGONS RECEIVE CATCHER CHAD TROMP FROM EXTENDED SPRING TRAINING

 

DAYTON, OHIO—The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster change today:

 

Catcher Chad Tromp has been promoted to Dayton from extended spring training.

 

The Dragons roster is now at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

 

A new roster is attached.

 

Tromp, 20, has not played in an official game in 2015. He played briefly for the Dragons in 2014, appearing in five games and batting .231. He spent most of 2014 with the Arizona League Reds, batting .323 with three home runs and 13 runs batted in.

 

Tromp was signed by the Reds as an international free agent in 2013 out of Oranjestad, Aruba.

 

The Dragons host the Beloit Snappers at Fifth Third Field today at 2:00 and Monday night at 7:00.
