DRAGONS ANNOUNCE ROSTER MOVES FOR MONDAY

DAYTON, OHIO—The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster changes after Sunday’s game:

Infielder Ty Washington has been placed on the disabled list with a shoulder sprain.

Infielder Paul Kronenfeld has been promoted to Dayton from the Billings roster.

Right-handed pitcher Alejandro Chacin has been promoted from Dayton to Daytona.

Right-handed pitcher Joe Mantoni has been promoted to Dayton from extended spring training.

The Dragons roster remains at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

A new roster is attached.

Washington has appeared in 26 games for the Dragons, batting .292 with one home run and 14 RBI. He suffered a shoulder injury during Saturday’s game and will be fully evaluated this week.

Kronenfeld has appeared in eight games for the Dragons, batting .138 with one home run (inside-the-park) and four runs batted in. He rejoins the Dragons after being assigned to Billings on Saturday when Narciso Crook was activated to the Dayton roster.

Chacin appeared in 10 games for the Dragons, going 1-0 with a 5.52 ERA and one save.

Mantoni missed the 2014 season due to injury. In 2013, he pitched at Billings, posting a 0.98 ERA in 16 relief appearances with no wins or losses. Mantoni is a 23-year-old native of Northbridge, Massachusetts.

The Dragons host the Great Lakes Loons on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Fifth Third Field.
