“Zinger’s self-released record If You Only Knew sounds as an experimental and weird encounter between Depeche Mode and NIИ.”

For Immediate Release – Black Panda PR – New York, NY – April 27, 2015 – Claus Zinger fans at  We Are Going Solo  exclusively debut his new video for title track from his  album If You Only Knew, worldwide release 4-15-15.

“The album is thirteen songs about life, death, love and anger, loneliness and confusion… some songs are inspired by the existential writings of Manitou – A french-jewish philosopher and kabbalist,” he says.

Claus Zinger comes from a tiny kibbutz in the north; a small village with socialist leanings, and home to his beginnings as a singer-songwriter.  There he discovered and became influenced by 90’s alternative rock and MTV’s “120 Minutes,” as they were his some of his first exposures to western culture and music at that time.  For good reason he became inspired to pick up a guitar.  He began to hear music differently from that point forward.

He confesses,  “I’m a very bad musician. That’s the truth. So really, I really, really don’t have any talent playing or singing.  No, no, this is absolutely the truth here, you can ask my friends. I have no sense of beat and I was the worst guitar player.   And my singing… I don’t know how to sing so I was faking all the time. But one thing I do have is that I love to create things. So I always looked to create and write songs first and I continued dreaming about making music.  I don’t come up with ideas about what I want to write, I just sit at the piano and let my soul speak and let the words out and it’s usually very black,” he chuckles.

“If You Only Knew” is produced by Israeli musician-producer Itai Tsuk.

Claus Zinger is good, because he doesn’t mind being bad.  If You Only Knew holds merit as a fantastic work of expression.  -Surviving the Golden Age

His talent and songwriting ability is very evident from the get-go  -Obscure Sound
