DISNEY FANTASIA: FILM WITH LIVE ORCHESTRA

TOMORROW! July 9 | 8:00PM
Mickey Mouse meets symphonic music in the Disney classic Fantasia. What better way to introduce children to the magic of classical music than through the magic of Disney?  A live showing of the animated classic will be accompanied by The Philadelphia Orchestra playing the score on Wednesday, July 9.

Fun Fact: The Philadelphia Orchestra recorded the original score for the film in 1940 under the baton of then-music director Leopold Stokowski.
Please note, this concert begins at 8:00PM.

FREE FAMILY CONCERT: PETER AND THE WOLF

July 10 | 11:30AM (Gates open at 10:30AM)
On Thursday, July 10, The Philadelphia Orchestra takes the stage for the first time in the annual Free Family Concert.  The Fabulous Philadelphians, in conjunction with actor Michael Boudewyns, will present Prokofiev’s classic tale Peter and the Wolf through music and storytelling. This concert is free and open to the public, and will feature an Instrument Petting Zoo as well as arts and crafts stations that will help kids of all ages experience classical music in a fun and exciting way. This event is perfect for the whole family, and one you won’t want to miss!

Gates open at 10:30AM for the Instrument Petting Zoo; the concert begins at 11:30AM.
