Skillfully exploiting the blissfully lightweight and shimmering aura of the new waves of alternative, the Kansas City outfit cleverly disguises the malicious haze of jangly guitars and pulsing drums on “SOUNDS LIKE FUN” behind an intricate and sunny wall of sound that mirrors the emotions of summer’s first beach day.
