Atomic Holiday Bazaar returns for season 15!
New Dates, New Venue & New Crafty Adventures!
Small Business Saturday, November 27 & Sunday, November 28, 2021
Sarasota County Fair – Robarts Arena & Street Fairgrounds
Affordable fabulous fresh arts and crafts for the world’s delightful irregulars!

Atomic Holiday Bazaar returns for season 15 after being shuttered last year due to the Covid pandemic. Atomic has sadly outgrown its location at the Municipal Auditorium, mainly due to lack of parking. After a year-long hiatus, studying the pros and cons of remaining at the muni building or moving elsewhere and interviewing Atomic Misfit Makers, the choice was made to try something new.

Atomic Holiday Bazaar has moved to the Sarasota County Fair located at 3000 Ringling Boulevard. The fair will be held inside Robarts Arena while the street fair will occur outside of the arena on fairgrounds property.

Atomic was fortunate to land the Small Business Saturday weekend falling right after the Thanksgiving holiday. New dates and hours for Atomic are: Saturday, November 27, 12pm – 7pm and Sunday, November 28, 11am – 6pm.

The Bradentucky Bombers roller derby team will continue to work as Atomic’s tote bag greeters handing out an Atomic tote bag to the first 100 adult’ish people who enter the arena at the start of the Saturday and Sunday shows. Totes feature this year’s Atomic marketing art and are filled with vendor swag and coupons for the show.

A little AHB background: Atomic was created in 2006 showcasing 50 unconventional crafters who needed an affordable and welcoming venue to sell their unusual handmade wares. By producing an alternative craft show for Sarasota’s hip shoppers, Atomic quickly grew into an annual Sarasota holiday shopping tradition. The show proved such a success it became “the little craft show that could” and grew to the point of where it is today…a happy teenager who was cooped up due to Covid and dying to get out so they can show off what they made and hang out with their creative tribe!

Atomic features a wide range of items for all: screen printed t-shirts, faux taxidermy, upcycled everything ranging from home decor, clothing, jewelry, (for example, think of “upcycled” as copper pipe that has been refitted into a desk lamp), vintage clothing, kitsch, lowbrow to elegant fine art, holiday cards, jams, jellies and the best canned pickle selections ever, one of a kind baby clothing, humorous chatchkes, ornaments, knits, catnip toys, doggie stuff, felted art, plants, plushies (unusual and humorous creatures), pop culture-graphic art posters, dark sentiments, body products, candles, beachy vibe stuff, ethnic Latin textiles, rock n roll edgy clothing, sweet little creations that make you sigh, get the picture? No artsy stone unturned, Atomic has something for all.

Admission is $5 for adults, kids 12 and under get in free. Food trucks and the arena cantina will be open for hungry shoppers. Atomic is family friendly to PG-Rated adult content.
