Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA Proudly Celebrates the Third Annual Kaleidoscope Ball with Hollywood’s Elite and Street
Artists Including Mr. Brainwash and PichiAvo

LOS ANGELES, April 15, 2015 – Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA will celebrate its Third Annual Kaleidoscope Ball on Saturday, May 2, 2015, presented by Harry Winston, Inc., at 3LABS in Culver City. Academy Award-Winning® Actress, Halle Berry, will receive the hospital’s “Kaleidoscope Award” with fellow Academy Award-Winner®, Goldie Hawn, who will host the evening event. Kelvin Davis will receive the hospital’s highest honor, the “Philanthropic Leadership Award,” and rising star, Halston Sage, will receive the “Young Luminary Award.” The evening will also feature a special musical performance by Grammy-Nominated artist Aloe Blacc.

For the first time ever, world-renowned street artists will come together and curate a selection of art pieces to be auctioned off in celebration of the evening’s theme, “Los Angeles: An Art-Full City.” Award winning street artist, Mr. Brainwash, will create a one-of-a-kind Mattel ride-on car to be donated for auction and each table will feature one of his “Life is Beautiful” sculptures, which will also be donated. In addition, Los Angeles favorite, Robert Vargas, will paint live at the event, while internationally acclaimed artists PichiAvo and Shepard Fairey (best known for his wildly popular Obama Hope poster), along with Roy Lichtenstein, James Rosenquist, Ed Ruscha, Bill Wegman, Charles Arnoldi, Enrique Martinez Celaya, Mike Stilkey, Billy Al Bengston, Sage Vaughn, Charming Baker, among several others, will all donate special pieces for this highly anticipated event.

The evening, co-chaired by Amanda Brown, Beth Friedman, Chloë Sommer, Marcelle Frey, and Tim Campbell, will include a cocktail reception and special dinner prepared by Wolfgang Puck Catering, led by famed chef Wolfgang Puck. Presenting sponsor for the Kaleidoscope Ball is the House of Harry Winston.

In conjunction with the 2014 Kaleidoscope Ball, Harry Winston, Inc., announced with the UCLA Children’s Discovery and Innovation Institute the establishment of the Harry Winston Fellowship Fund. As part of the Harry Winston Brilliant Futures Charitable Program, the company is supporting the work of young pediatric physicians and scientists who are conducting research to prevent, treat, and cure disease and illness in children.

Proceeds from the dinner will benefit UCLA Children’s Discovery and Innovation Institute at Mattel Children’s Hospital.
