One of electronic music’s most revolutionary and original producer/songwriters,THE BLOODY BEETROOTS returns today (August 16) with the video for “Saint Bass City Rockers.” The menacing track appears on THE BLOODY BEETROOTS‘ third studio album THE GREAT ELECTRONIC SWINDLE (Last Gang Records).
Directed by Filippo Bano, the socially conscious video–which made its premier today via Dancing Astronaut–serves as a deep reflection on a lot of hard things happening in our world from political disruption with Korea and Russia to climate change and Trumpism.
“I tried to portray the climate of our times; however, I couldn’t cover it all as every day there’s news to be ashamed of. Is this the world we want to live in?” says The Bloody Beetroots’ Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo. “Closing your eyes is not an option, we must take action to make change. Until now, our best has not been enough.”
With a 2018 tour schedule that touched down at Graspop and Tomorrowland, THE BLOODY BEETROOTS was the only artist to perform at both Europe’s largest Rock and Electronic Festivals in the same summer.Other appearances at Mad Cool Festival in Spain and Rock im Park in Germany have showcased the project’s versatility and diverse fan-base.
