Listen to Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood, starring Michael Sheen—now available again
To begin at the beginning:
It is Spring, moonless night in the small town

Dylan Thomas gave his greatest Poetry Center performance in the premiere of Under Milk Wood on May 14, 1953. He finished the play just in time, and the famous Caedmon recording of the reading is the only one with Dylan in the cast. He and five American actors—all of whom were also employed, in some capacity, by 92nd Street Y—would go on to perform it thrice more.

Celebrate Dylan’s life and work by revisiting 92Y’s October 2014 live broadcast of this “play for voices,” with Michael Sheen and an all-Welsh cast.
