Enjoy savings and deals all month long in Sarasota
SARASOTA, FL. (August 25, 2016) — This September, visitors to Sarasota County can enjoy deals and specials at area shopping locations during the “Shoptember” promotion. Visit Sarasota County is joining with stores and shopping districts throughout the region to offer deals and offerings.
“Our research shows September is a slower month for tourism traffic,” says Virginia J. Haley, CDME, President of Visit Sarasota County. “This was also true with many of our tourism partners including the shopping areas. Like our other promotions such as Savor Sarasota Restaurant Week and May Theater Month, we aim to bring awareness of Sarasota’s shopping amenities during a need period for our partners.”
Shopping districts in the area include St. Armands Circle, Lakewood Ranch, the Mall at University Town Center, Venice Main Street and the Shoppes at Sarasota Row in downtown. Shopping for major brands is possible at places like Westfield’s Sarasota Square and the Ellenton Outlet Mall and visitors can peruse local shops along Dearborn Street in Englewood and in the Gulf Gate neighborhood.
