Tying into this special re-issue, The Killers took over the Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in Las Vegas last weekend to celebrate the album’s 10th anniversary. Fans gambled on Sam’s Town themed blackjack tables, indulged in specialty themed meals and cocktails inspired by The Killers’ hits and sang every word during full performances of Sam’s Town and other hits from the band’s celebrated catalog. 100% of proceeds from the event benefitted Las Vegas charities Toni’s House and First Friday Foundation.

The Killers released Sam’s Town in 2006 – a heartfelt love letter to their hometown that was an RIAA platinum hit upon release, spent 42 weeks on the Billboard Top 200 and spawned hit singles “When You Were Young” (which was nominated for two Grammy awards) and “Read My Mind.” Sam’s Town has now sold over 5.5 million copies.
The Killers consists of Brandon Flowers (vocals/keyboards), Dave Keuning (guitars), Mark Stoermer (bass) and Ronnie Vannucci (drums).
