Family Partnership Center Announces Name Change

The non-profit will hold a reception to launch new name and branding.

Bradenton, FL – The Board of Directors and leadership at Family Partnership Center (FPC) announced their decision to officially change its name to Parenting Matters that will take effect on October 17th. The name, Parenting Matters, better reflects the non-profit’s role in the community of strengthening families and preventing child abuse through parenting education. “The most crucial component in a child’s growth and development is reliable, responsive, and nurturing parenting. Parenting Matters clearly emphasizes the work we do and the vital role of parenting,” said Katrina Bellemare, Executive Director of FPC.

Aside from the rebranding strategy, the programs and mission of Parenting Matters will remain the same, as it has, for 23 years. “Family Partnership Center started because there wasn’t a safe place in Manatee County to help parents before children were removed from their home. It’s been rewarding to see the agency grow to serve more families, but to keep its original mission of serving all parents seeking help,” said Barbara Brownell, Program Director and Founder of FPC.

Along with a name change, the organization will launch a new website, parentingmattersfl.org, and logo. A reception will be held on October 17th, 2017 at FPC’s (soon to be Parenting Matter’s) office, 602 3rd Street East from 9:30 -11:00 am, to debut the new name and brand. The Manatee Chamber will hold a ribbon cutting at 9:45 a.m.
