John Ringling Towers Grant Workshop

The Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County will conduct grant workshops for the John Ringling Tower Grant Program on Monday, June 29, at 1 p.m. in Venice at the Gulf Coast Community Foundation (601 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL 34285) and Tuesday, June 30 at 1 p.m. in the Center for Art and Humanity (1226 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34236).
The John Ringling Towers Fund Individual Artist Award was designed to recognize practicing, professional, creative artists in the areas of performing, visual and literary arts residing in Sarasota County through monetary fellowship awards. The program provides support for artists of exceptional talent and demonstrated ability to continue to produce work. The John Ringling Towers Fund Individual Artist Award provides up to $5,000. The number of awards will vary according to the number of applications reviewed, the recommendations of the panel and the funds available.
The John Ringling Towers Fund Historic Preservation Award is given to nonprofit organizations or governmental agencies located in Sarasota County, to be used for historic rehabilitation, capital (bricks and mortar), preventive maintenance projects or national register designations. The program provides a grant of up to $5,000 in recognition of a historic preservation project.
