SunCoast Blood Bank Holds Inaugural Manatee County Boots vs. Badges

All Donors Will Receive a $10 Walmart Gift Card

Sarasota, FL – First responders from Manatee County are helping SunCoast Blood Bank (SCBB) avert a blood shortage and encouraging residents to be holiday heroes this season by donating blood. Law enforcement and firefighting agencies are joining forces for the First Annual Manatee County Boots vs. Badges blood drive on December 13. The goal is to raise 100 units of blood during the friendly competition between the two agencies.

The event is taking place at Suncoast Behavioral Health Center, 4480 51st St W in Bradenton, FL 34210, on December 13, from 10 am – 4 pm.  Firefighters and law enforcement will go head to head to see who can encourage the most people to roll up their sleeves and donate.  All donors will receive a $10 Walmart gift card.

The inaugural event is sponsored by Suncoast Behavioral Health Center and WWSB ABC 7. 92.1 The COAST and first responder vehicles on site, including Bayflite 2 Emergency Helicopter Service. Food for donors will be provided by Dunkin Donuts on Manatee Avenue and Firehouse Subs of Bradenton.
