DSO BRINGS WINTER IN JULY TO CAMPUS MARTIUS TUESDAY

WHAT:          Snow, champagne and black tie revelers will help the Detroit Symphony Orchestra begin the New Year’s celebrations early this year with Winter in July at Campus Martius. During lunch Tuesday, DSO will launch ticket sales for its New Year’s Eve Gala and benefit concert this winter. Patrons purchasing tickets on the spot will receive a free personal bottle of champagne, with tickets starting at $40.

The benefit concert will include a DSO performance featuring a wide selection of musical genres and rarely-performed pieces, culminating in a champagne toast in Orchestra Hall at midnight. The gala will include a gourmet strolling dinner, open bars and dancing following the concert.
