Today, right in time for Labor Day Weekend, Slaptop releases the new official remix for forMaroon 5’s hit single “Maps” HERE. Mashable premiered the remix HERE, calling it “hypnotic, mesmerizing”. The “Maps” remix will appear on the Walmart version of Maroon 5’s V album (out Sept 2nd). This remix follows remixes of ZHU “Faded” (Slaptop Remix) HERE and Jaymes Young “Habits Of My Heart” (Slaptop Remix) HERE, which went to #1 on the Hype Machine charts.

Slaptop’s debut track “Sunrise” immediately shot to the top 5 of iTunes’ electronic charts and top 3 of the Hype Machine charts. The single was revealed via This Song Is Sick HERE and has received nearly 450,000 Soundcloud plays.” The music video, which captures an all night adventure until sunrise, was premiered by SPIN HEREBuzzfeedcalled it one of the best songs of summer HERE.

Slaptop was born in the abandoned buildings and forgotten beaches of the Northern California Coast. His music evokes feelings of wandering through sun-soaked adventures and chasing a wild youthful spirit. His debut single, “Sunrise,” is out via Ensemble / +1 Records (iTunes HERE) and is about a group of friends embarking on an all-night adventure that culminates in watching the sunrise together. They call it a “Sunsquad.” The single was fittingly written and produced over the course of one night in Slaptop’s college dorm room.
