SaraSolo is BACK!! SaraSolo 2016 is ready to roll! New performers, new logo, new excitement!
A select group of artists have been chosen to present their shows in the historic Crocker Memorial Church in Pioneer Park (1260 12th Street) on Saturday and Sunday, January 23-24 and January 30-31, 2016. Performances are at 1, 3, 5 and 7 pm. None of the performances will be repeated.
There will be something for everyone: from solo plays to cabaret to dance to toy theatre to performance/visual art.

Our international roster of performers includes Irene Garibay from Mexico representing Ringling College, Aja Nisenson a Best Cabaret Artist award winner at the United Solo Festival in New York City, Clara Pagone from New York via Australia and Italy, returning artists Christine Alexander and Lynne Bernfield presenting new works, Sarasota’s beloved Carolyn Michel with her new piece, and Zach Dorn with his funny toy theatre for adults. The final slot (#16) is Flying Solo -The Next Step Development : Betwixt week to stage.

Once again our unique BETWIXT AND BETWEEN week (January 25-29) will be filled with lectures and classes furthering solo work and open to the public.
ALL WILL BE REVEALED at the SaraSolo 2016 kick-off party on Sunday, November 15 at 6 PM at The Starlite Room (1001 Cocoanut Ave, Sarasota, FL 34236 Tyler Yurckonis, owner will host.
Information regarding the schedule of performances and purchase of tickets will be available on the GottaVan website (www.sarasolo.org) after November 15. Solo performance tickets are $15 each. All day (4 performances) tickets are $50; all weekend (8 performances) tickets are $90.

Gotta Van Productions, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit theatre company, was formed by Ann Morrison (Artistic Director), Blake Walton (Associate Artistic Director), and David Coyle (Managing Director). Gotta Van’s goals are to develop and present solo performances and new small-cast plays that illuminate the human condition. It believes in affordable theatre in traditional and non-traditional spaces that supports diversity, collaboration, and the transformative power of intimate theatre for both artists and audiences.
