Saks & SMHF 10th year of KEY TO THE CURE Kick off Event

The Foundation & Saks do it again…KTTC a smashing success….

Sarasota, FL- On October 15th, more than 900 guests attended Key to the Cure at Saks Fifth Avenue. This year’s event kicked off a four day shopping-event. This year marks the 10th year in the partnership between Saks Fifth Avenue and Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation, Inc.

This year’s star studded line up included past chairs such as Aimee Cogan, Ariane Dart, Veronica Brady, Kyla Weiner, Susan Jones, Allison Silver, and Alex Miller. The “Key to the Cure” event benefited women’s cancer programs at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System and netted approximately $ 100,000 thus far bringing the grand total to more than $ 1.1 million to support women’s cancers education, treatment, and research in Sarasota. CEO Alex Quarles of Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation said “this year’s event was proof positive that this event continues to garner the attention and generosity that only a community as amazing as Sarasota could provide. The Foundation could not be more thrilled to be able to participate as we continue to support those in need of cancer treatment services”. Some of this year’s prize winners were Angela Stowe who won an amazing dinner package at Sophie’s at Saks and Jill Ramsey who won a girls weekend which included dinner at Louis Modern, a Build-a-Bag Party by Bag Factor and a hotel stay at Hotel Indigo. Director of Marketing Sally Schule, added “At Saks Fifth Avenue we look to continue with Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation in another decade of stellar Key to the Cure events and fundraising.”
