RHYE RETURN WITH NEW SINGLE & MUSIC VIDEO “PLEASE”

UNVEIL SECOND TRACK “SUMMER DAYS”

July 7th, 2017 (Los Angeles, CA) – Today, Rhye make their return with a brand new single and music video entitled “Please.” The single is available now on iTunes, Spotify and Apple Music via Loma Vista Recordings, along with a second nostalgic new anthem, entitled “Summer Days.”

Watch the video for “Please” HERE.

This marks the group’s first new music in four years and follows their 2013’s critically exalted Woman.

Merging a natural beat and muted piano, the track builds into a climactic lyrical plea that’s both entrancing and explosive. Meanwhile, the clip brings the seductive side of Rhye to life in black-and-white via vivid visuals.

About the song, frontman Milosh comments, “Because we play live so much, we’ve built this show that’s somewhat different from Woman. It’s a little more psychedelic. I wanted to bring that to the second record. I really wanted to incorporate much more soulful and earthy colors. It had to be all live percussion and piano. The human intimacy had to come through the actual instrumentation on this record.  ‘Please’ is the stepping stone to where we’re headed.”

Right now, Rhye is on the road performing at high-profile festivals around the globe. See the full itinerary below.

ABOUT RHYE:

A mosaic of emotive piano keys, physical percussion, buzzing analog synths, and expansive vocals, Rhye find humanity in musicality. Driven by this approach, the group quietly transformed into a phenomenon with the arrival of their 2013 debut, Woman. The record garnered acclaim from Rolling Stone, Spin, and Pitchfork who dubbed it “Best New Album.” “Open” would concurrently accumulate over 41.6 million Spotify streams, while “The Fall” surpassed 22.8 million. Along the way, they sold out theaters around the globe between standout festival sets at Coachella, Pitchfork, and a highlight concert in Denmark accompanied by a 49-piece all-girls choir. As the band began writing in 2016, this expansive live show indelibly impacted their second full-length album in 2017. The first single “Please” siphons a gorgeous vocal plea through a kaleidoscope of sparse percussion and piano that’s simultaneously stirring, stark, and sensual. It’s a new musical experience. It’s Rhye.
