Headlines Manatee School for the Arts Benefit at Bradenton’s Zen Guitars

October 21

(Bradenton, FL) Zen Guitars, located at the DeSoto Square Mall, 303 301 Blvd West in Bradenton, invites the public to a benefit for the Manatee School for the Arts on October 21, 6-9 p.m., featuring nationally-acclaimed fingerstyle guitarist and entertainer George Worthmore. Students from the Manatee School for the Arts music program will open for Worthmore at the free concert. A portion of the proceeds of Zen Guitars’ sales for the day will be donated to MSA’s music program.

“Supporting community-based music education programs is an integral part of the Zen Guitars philosophy,” says owner Scott Cook. “We are thrilled to be able to expose the students at MSA and the community as a whole to George Worthmore’s brilliant fingerstyle guitar playing. Not only does George put on a fantastic show, but he will be demonstrating a variety of music styles – from ragtime to traditional blues to classical,” Cooks adds. “It’s going to be a great show for a great cause.”

While admission is free, Cook points out that seating is limited and suggests that guests arrive early for the 6 p.m. concert. For more information, call Zen Guitars at 941-706-5621 or email Cook at [email protected]
