Band Announces Fall North American Headline Tour
Today, Norwegian-born, Los Angeles-based electronic duo Lemaitre released their anthemic new single, “We Got U” featuring The Knocks, via Astralwerks. The official video for “We Got U” premiered today on YouTube and can be seen HERE.
“We Got U” saw its world premiere on Beats 1 Radio’s Request show yesterday. The infectious, uplifting track features New York electronic duo The Knocks (Ben “B-Roc” Ruttner and James “JPatt” Patterson), who released their critically acclaimed debut album 55 on Big Beat/Neon Gold Records earlier this year – a resolutely DIY electronic dance album featuring the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen, Cam’ron, and Wylef Jean, among others. In addition to original material, the duo have also produced remixes for some of the world’s biggest artists, including Katy Perry, The 1975, Ellie Goulding and Justin Bieber, to name a few.“We Got U” is available worldwide for purchase on iTunes HEREand streaming on Spotify HEREand SoundCloud HERE.
The band- which made its Coachella debut with an explosive set in April 2016 – will kick off a fall headline tour on October 20 at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. The North American run will include shows at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles (October 21) and New York City’s Irving Plaza (November 3). At Lemaitre’s shows, the imaginative arrangements are further fleshed-out thanks to a live drummer, a spectacular new light show, and the band’s signature illuminated logo installation. See below for itinerary. Tickets will be on sale next Friday, June 24 and can be purchased at this link: www.lemaitremusic.com/tour.
Dancing Astronaut said, “Lemaitre uses sultry vocal work, elegant piano melodies and striking guitar riffs to create an indie dance feel that is ripe with emotion.” Interview Magazine noted, “Lemaitre is ready to fully conquer the U.S. The indie-electronica outfit mixes funk, disco and electronic elements to feel-good effect.”
Released in early 2016, Lemaitre latest EP, 1749, contained five pop gems, including “Closer” featuring Jennie A, which has more than 16 million streams on Spotify. Synchs for “Closer” include PayPal, Facebook, Tropicana and British Telecom while “Stepping Stone” was heard in an Infiniti Q30 car commercial and “Cut To Black” was tapped by Facebook for Friends Day. The band is working on new music to be released later this year.

About Lemaitre:
Lemaitre are Norway’s latest entry into the smooth, melodic electronic tradition of artists that temper their electronic grooves with adept pop songwriting. “We want to walk the line,” explains Ulrik Denizou Lund, who along with Ketil Jansen is Lemaitre, “and do everything from a loop-based song to straight pop or rock songs that have more structure.” Lemaitre have more than a million followers on SoundCloud, and the duo’s 2012 EP, Relativity 2, shot to No. 1 on the iTunes Electronic chart in the U.S. and Canada. They number among their fans some of dance music’s biggest artists – Porter Robinson, Madeon, Kygo, and Martin Solveig to name a few. Robinson took them on tour last summer. Lemaitre’s music is finding outlets beyond the dance floor as well. In September 2013, their song “1:18,” from The Friendly Sound EP, was used as a synch in an ad for the Apple iPhone 5C.
