NEIL YOUNG + PROMISE OF THE REAL
TO PLAY TWO SHOWS IN
TELLURIDE, COLORADO
SEPTEMBER 30 AND OCTOBER 1, 2016
Steve Gumble, of Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, and Craig Ferguson, of Telluride Bluegrass Festival, have joined together to announce two very special shows from legendary guitarist and songwriter Neil Young in the world-famous mountain town of Telluride, Colorado.
Singer, songwriter, musician, producer and two-time Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Young will visit Telluride, Colorado to play back-to-back shows (September 30and October 1) at the new state-of-the-art stage in Telluride Town Park.  Young will be joined on stage for his sets by Promise of the Real, fronted by Lukas Nelson, son of Willie Nelson.
“Neil Young is in that genre and demographic that for me screams ‘Telluride,’ said Steve Gumble, of Telluride Blues & Brews Festival. “He’s been a part of many people’s lives for decades.  His style, his environmentalism–it’s a really good fit for Telluride.  This is a dream come true, not only for myself, but many people in Telluride.  I am honored to be a part of these concerts which are sure to be legendary.”
In a town where festivals dominate the local music scene, one-off concerts like the Grateful Dead in 1987, Bob Dylan in 2007, and Phish in 2010 are revered as monumental moments in music history.  These once-in-a-lifetime shows will mark the first-ever slated performances from Young in Telluride.  “I believe Neil is the artist Telluride has most wanted to see,” said Craig Ferguson of Telluride Bluegrass Festival.
