ANA SALAS SIEGEL NAMED GENERAL COUNSEL FOR NBCUNIVERSAL’S HISPANIC ENTERPRISES & CONTENT
NEW YORK – May 5, 2015 – NBCUniversal’s Hispanic Enterprises and Content announced the appointment of Ana Salas Siegel to General Counsel. Salas Siegel will report to Joe Uva, Chairman, Hispanic Enterprises and Content and Kimberley D. Harris, Executive Vice President, General Counsel, NBCUniversal, and will start on Monday, June 1st.
In this new role, Salas Siegel will serve as lead counsel for Hispanic Enterprises and Content and oversee all legal resources, including the division’s Business & Legal Affairs team. As a key member of the senior leadership team, she will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the legal department, and supervising all legal and business affairs issues impacting the group. In addition to overseeing strategic and complex commercial agreements, Salas Siegel will work closely with NBCUniversal’s corporate legal resources on transactional, litigation and employment law, as well as intellectual property, labor relations and compliance matters.

Previously, Salas Siegel worked at Fox Latin America Channels and Fox International Channels for 12 years, most recently serving as Senior Vice President & Deputy General Counsel, Business and Legal Affairs. In that role she was responsible for all legal matters relating to their pay TV channels, and production and sports facilities in Latin America, in addition to managing and developing the legal department. Prior to that Salas Siegel was the Director of Business & Legal Affairs at Universal Studios Networks Latin America Inc..
Siegel holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Amherst College in Massachusetts and a law degree from Harvard Law School, and is a member of the American Bar Association. In addition, she holds a Certificate in International Business Management from Georgetown University and a UK Solicitor’s Certificate from Oxford University.
