PROMOTED TO PUBLICIST
AT MSO (THE MITCH SCHNEIDER ORGANIZATION)
MSO PR has announced, via the company’s President Mitch Schneider, the immediate promotion of MIKE GOWEN to the position of Publicist at MSO (the Mitch Schneider Organization), the music, culture and lifestyle public relations + social media firm based in Los Angeles with an office in Nashville.
GOWEN began at MSO in 2012 as a part-time assistant before advancing to the position of executive assistant to President Mitch Schneider which was followed by his move from assistant to Associate Publicist in 2014. In his growing publicist role-which comes from the success of his ability to spearhead effective press campaigns on behalf of his clients-Mike will continue to further promote both emerging talent and icons in the business.
Over the past three years, Mike has been involved in the media campaigns for various artists in multiple genres including BabyMetal, The Black Crowes, Black Sabbath, Billy Idol, Brian Setzer, Dada Life, Dave Stewart, Dream Theater, Dwight Yoakam, Jason Michael Carroll, John Fogerty, Savoy, The Smashing Pumpkins, Stereophonics, Wynonna & The Big Noise and others.
“It’s been really exciting for me and everyone at MSO to watch Mike creatively evolve and earn his stripes,” says Schneider. “He thinks in fresh, different ways and has built solid media relationships, all of which has benefited our clients. GOWEN graduated from Musicians Institute College of Contemporary Music in 2010 from the school’s Music Business Program. During college he interned in Bug Music Publishing‘s creative department and at LaFamos PR & Branding–which led to a subsequent hiring after graduation as a full time staffer–sparking his passion for public relations. Prior to working at MSO, GOWEN worked as an assistant to Grammy Award-winning Jazz legend, Stanley Clarke. GOWEN is looking forward to continue evolving at MSO and discovering more great music along the way.
