Paul Auster and Siri Hustvedt – With an Introduction by Nicole Krauss

Paul Auster and Siri Hustvedt first met at a Poetry Center reading in 1981. In our 75th anniversary season, the couple returns as co-readers. Paul Auster’s latest book is the memoir Report from the Interior. “In turns contemplative, pugnacious and achingly tender, he gives us a blow-by-blow account of his collision with life,” writes Marie Arana. “That he manages to plumb memory all the way to universal bedrock is a credit to his artistry.” Siri Hustvedt’s new novel is The Blazing World. “She is a novelist of great intelligence. She knows the ways of the world and of the heart,” wrote The Observer. “She also knows a great deal about literature, art, philosophy, psychoanalysis and the neurosciences and has woven this knowledge into her fiction.” The Blazing World comes out on March 11; this event is the book launch.

Saturday, March 15, 12:30 pm, $10
