Lehman Center for the Performing Arts proudly announces the lineup for its 36th ANNIVERSARY 2016-17 SEASON, which continues its tradition of bringing world-class entertainment to the Bronx. To kick off the new season, EDDIE PALMIERI and his SALSA ORCHESTRA present a sizzling evening of salsa; WILLIE COLON returns to La Casa De La Salsa to present a special Christmas concert celebration ASALTO NAVIDEÑO; the classically trained tenors from Cuba, the HABANA BOYS, four classically trained tenors from Cuba will make their debut appearance at Lehman Center; and a tribute to the Los Compadres: JOSE ALBERTO “EL CANARIO” and SEPTETO SANTIAGUERO, will perform together for the first time at Lehman Center since their joint LATIN GRAMMY® win. Audiences will be mesmerized by Canada’s ROYAL WINNIPEG BALLET’s performance of DRACULA; thrilled with 80’s hit singers EL DEBARGE, TANK & TROOP who will get everyone on their feet; won’t want to miss the return of the popular Lehman Center favorite FOREVER FREESTYLE 11; and will celebrate the music and life of PRINCE while experiencing the performance of THE PURPLE XPERIENCE. Lehman Center’s exciting 36th Anniversary Season promises an exceptional array of talent to please all audiences. Welcome to Lehman Center for the Performing Arts 36th Season. Lehman Center is one of New York’s finest and most exciting not-for-profit performing arts centers – a home to international performers reaching thousands of your friends and neighbors each year.. Eva Bornstein, who is beginning her eleventh season as Executive Director of Lehman Center, says, “I would like to share this season’s highlights: In addition to our outstanding Latino series featuring such great artists as Eddie Palmieri, La India, Willie Colon, Ismael Miranda, Tito Rojas, and numerous others, we will be presenting for the first time Canada’s Winnipeg Ballet in “Dracula”, Taj Express in the Bollywood Musical Revue, The National Symphony of Ukraine, Bale Folclorico da Bahia, Jose Alberto “El Canario” and Septeto Santiaguero, Five Irish Tenors and Habana Boys from Cuba. Our new season has something for everyone.” *New This Season: HAVANA CAFÉ and Lehman Center special VIP pre-concert wine & hors d’oeuvres reception starting at 6:30pm. Lehman Center for the Performing Arts is on the campus of Lehman College/CUNY at 250 Bedford Park Boulevard West, Bronx, NY 10468. Tickets for all events can be purchased by calling the Lehman Center box office at 718-960-8833 (Monday through Friday, 10am–5pm, and beginning at 12 noon on the day of the concert), or through online access at www.LehmanCenter.org. Lehman Center is accessible by #4 or D train to Bedford Park Blvd. and is off the Saw Mill River Parkway and the Major Deegan Expressway. Low cost on-site parking available for $5.

Special discounts are built into Lehman’s concert series. “Create your own Series” offers a 10% discount on a minimum of three shows, or a 20% discount for six or more shows, or buy five family shows and receive a 15% discount. (All shows must be purchased at the same time at either the box office or by phone at
718-960-8833.) Plus special $10 tickets for any seat are available for selected shows for children 12 and under, made possible by a grant from Con Edison.
