KAABOO: Del Mar festival organizers have revealed set times for the inaugural event set for Friday, September 18-Sunday, September 20 at the Del Mar Racetrack & Fairgrounds, just steps away from the Pacific Ocean.  In addition to the three days of performances on seven stages–headlined by No Doubt, The Killers and Zac Brown Band–details are now confirmed for the full-scale food and drink experience of Palate and Crafty, plus the creative expression that will be seen in ArtworK.
Palate will offer concert-goers a comprehensive food, wine and spirits experience including the Chef’s Roll Competition, a variety of tastes and offerings well beyond standard festival fare and exclusive performances from KAABOO talent within Palate, highlighted by a special grand opening set from the Allen Stone Band.  Many of the Palate offerings will also pay homage to Southern California’s vast cultural melting pot.  Beyond these choices, Crafty, KAABOO’s onsite beer garden will serve up the region’s best craft and specialty beers in a relaxed setting with seating to enjoy your suds.
“At most live music events, it’s all about the music and there is modest attention paid to everything else,” KAABOO founder and CEO Bryan Gordon says.  “We put a great deal of attention into everything else that surrounds the music so that there is a very strong ensemble cast.  People are going to have a choice of more than 50 different restaurants, over 50 types of beer, more than 30 wineries selling 75 different wines and more than 30 craft spirits.
