Junior League of Sarasota Launches Improved Organizational Structure for 2018-2019 Year
SARASOTA, Fl., – July 20, 2018 In May 2018, the Junior League of Sarasota announced a new Board of Directors and Management Team that will serve during the 2018-2019 League year. This is also the first year for a revamped organizational structure and governance transformation for the League. The restructuring will allow the Junior League of Sarasota to better serve the community by providing more volunteer hours and support.
“I am honored to serve as the President of the Junior League of Sarasota this year,” said Amy Sankes, League President. “I look forward to furthering the years of hard work and successes implemented by predecessors. In partnership with the women in the League, we are committed to deepening our impact in the community and significantly contributing to the overall well-being of all in the Sarasota community.”
The new leadership structure will consist of an active management team operating under the Board of Directors, promoting more efficient and agile operations. With this new structure, the Board will be able to focus more on strategic foresight and long-term planning for the League, with the management team focusing on daily operations with direct oversight for all League committees and volunteer efforts for the community.
“I’m excited to lead the Junior League of Sarasota’s first-ever management team this year,” says Kelly Fernandez, the League’s Executive Vice President. “With an incredible team of knowledgeable and hardworking women, I look forward to seeing the Junior League of Sarasota achieve all of its goals this year. We are UNSTOPPABLE!”
