Jacob Collier, a prodigious young multi-instrumentalist from London, premieres his first single “Hideaway” out today. This single not only serves as the first selection from his forthcoming album, but also marks Jacob’s first original music debut. Click here to view video!
In addition to his new single, Jacob has announced that his debut album, “In My Room” will be out on July 1st 2016.
Jacob is well known for his viral YouTube videos (click here to view), which have turned numerous legendary artists into fans, including Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Pat Metheny, Jamie Cullum, Take 6 and Quincy Jones– who is now his manager.
Jacob has recently developed a new live show with MIT, which spurred The Guardian to herald Collier as “Jazz’s New Messiah” after witnessing the performance. He also recorded the soundtrack to the Beats by Dre Rugby World Cup campaign and is featured on Snarky Puppy’s Family Dinner Vol. 2. Leading up to Jacob’s album launch, he plans to continue a Patreon.com campaign that enables his fans to enjoy exclusive experiential and merchandise rewards. As a part of this campaign, Jacob will be releasing 3 subsequent singles and videos on the first of each month; May 1st, June 1st, and July 1st.
