Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Adds Two IPL Yuletide Celebration Performances on Dec. 19

Month-long holiday lineup now includes three dozen ISO concerts at four venues

INDIANAPOLIS –The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra has added two IPL Yuletide Celebration performances at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Dec. 19 at Hilbert Circle Theatre. The popular holiday series will be hosted by Indianapolis’ own Josh Kaufman and feature Broadway vocalist N’Kenge and twin tap dancers Sean and John Scott.

With the addition of these performances, the ISO’s full holiday season now includes 37 concerts at four venues, including a Holiday Brass Concert at Hilbert Circle Theatre, The Nutcracker at the Murat Theatre, Handel’s Messiah at The Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts, and Christmas with Amy Grant & Michael W. Smith at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

ISO Holiday Season at a Glance

  • The season begins Nov. 26 with a special performance by multi-platinum GRAMMY® winners Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith.
  • The series of 31 Yuletide Celebration performances begins Dec. 2.
  • On Dec. 6, international horn player Dale Clevenger will lead members of the ISO brass section in a glorious program of holiday music, brass transcriptions of classical music, and original brass compositions.
  • From Dec. 16 – 18, the Indianapolis School of Ballet will perform with the ISO in its 10th anniversary production of The Nutcracker.
  • And on Dec. 22, the ISO and the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir will perform a timeless production of Handel’s Messiah.
