New York, NY: The Ice Theatre of New York, hailed by The New York Times as one of the top ten theatre picks in New York City, is proud to announce that its 2014 Home Season titled ICE:DANCE 2014 will be returning to Sky Rink, Chelsea Piers this October 16-18. ICE:DANCE 2014 will feature the premiere of two new pieces, one by Ballet Great Edward Villella and the other by World Renowned Modern Dance Choreographer Jacqulyn Buglisi.

ICE: DANCE will feature twelve top National, World and Olympic Competitors including US Men’s Champion Ryan Bradley, National and World Competitors Kim Navarro and Brent Bommentre and making their Ice Theatre of new York Debut are 2014 Ice Dance Competitors Lynn Kriengkrairut and Logan Giuletti-Schmitt.

Shows will be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 16th through 18th at 7PM with Friday night being Ice Theatre of New York’s annual gala performance honoring Olympic Champion Tenley Albright.

Ice Theatre will premiere for the first time on the frozen stage the restaging of two pieces one by Edward Villella titled “The Back Bay Shuffle” which is set to the music of Artie Shaw and stars three guys on the prowl. The other piece, by Jacqulyn Buglisi, titled “This is Forever” takes its inspiration from Mildred Cram’s 1934 novella “Forever”, a passionate tale about love at first sight that transcends life and death. The season will also include innovative work from Ice Theatre of New York’s repertory by choreographers Douglas Webster, Emmy Award winning Charles “Chucky” Klapow and Alberto del Saz.
