The powerful 10-film line-up includes James Garner in HOUR OF THE GUN; Richard Boone in RIO CONCHOS; Henry Fonda and Charles Bronson in Sergio Leone’s ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST; Ann-Margret and Bing Crosby in STAGECOACH; Charles Bronson in BREAKHEART PASS; Yul Brenner in RETURN OF THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN; Clint Eastwood in Sergio Leone’s THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY; James Coburn in Sergio Leone’s A FISTFUL OF DYNAMITE; Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan in SERAPHIM FALLS; and Robert Ryan in THE PROUD ONES.
The network debuts a new stunt highlighting a different movie star each month in The A-List, starting with celebrated leading man Brad Pitt showcasing six films in primetime Jan. 6-7. The event kicks off Friday, Jan. 6 at 7pE with THE DEVIL’S OWN; followed by the 1994 Oscar®-winner LEGENDS OF THE FALL at 9pE; and Guy Ritchie’s crime caper SNATCH at 11:15pE. Then, Saturday, Jan. 7 features Pitt in his breakout role in Ridley Scott’s Oscar®-winning adventure THELMA & LOUISE, at 7pE; David Fincher’s THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON at 9:15pE; and Robert Redford’s A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT at 12:05aE.
In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, HDNET MOVIES showcases one of Hollywood’s most influential African-American comedians Richard Pryor, starring alongside Gene Wilder in a trio of sidesplitting comedies on Monday, Jan. 16. The night starts at 9pE with Pryor, Wilder and Kevin Spacey in SEE NO EVIL, HEAR NO EVIL; followed by Sidney Poitier’s STIR CRAZY at 10:50pE; and Pryor and Wilder’s final film together ANOTHER YOU at 12:45aE.
