Global TV site and VOD service Viki,
which specializes in bringing Asian movies and TV series to global audiences, announced it has partnered with leading South Korean media and entertainment company, CJ E&M
, to launch a new Creator category on the Viki platform.
Viki’s new creator category will showcase exclusive original short-form content from 12 Korean indie/Hallyu influencers. CJ E&M’s short form content will be packaged with similar content from these creators to create a richer and deeper viewing experience. Programming from the creators will encompass verticals including music, fashion, make-up, beauty, food, celebrities, and pop culture.
Creators launching channels on Viki include, Ivan Lam, Ricky Kazaf, and Heyitsfeiii among others. The inaugural slate of creators (full list of 12 below) has a combined audience of 40 million viewers across social platforms. Viki will add more creators to the platform over time.
