FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training Presents
The Mercy Seat
A Special Late Night Series Event

WHAT:

FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training proudly presents The Mercy Seat by Neil LaBute. This bold piece takes place on September 12, 2001 – the day after 9/11. Ben should have been at work in the towers that day. He should be dead. Instead, he spent that ill-fated morning with his mistress, Abby. With his wife uncertain whether he made it out of the towers, Ben now has the chance to run away with Abby. LaBute examines the complexity and innate selfishness of humanity in this fascinating two-person play. Directed by Ronda Hewitt, this piece will star third-year Conservatory student Cale Haupert and his wife, Kimberly Wiczer-Haupert.

“While she is my wife in real life, in this story she’s the other woman,” said Haupert, who is producing the piece. “That’s an interesting dynamic.”

FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training Late Night Series performances are produced entirely by Conservatory students.
