ARTS/CULTURE PROMOTIONAL EVENT

Friends of the Selby Public Library (FOSPL) will again host a special fundraiser, a “Cultural Friend Raiser – The People’s Gala”-to celebrate the arts, culture, and cuisine of Sarasota on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. ‘Looking into the Crystal Ball’.  During this entire event, organizations and performers are being offered the opportunity to promote their talents-to familiarize new patrons and tantalize the attendees. Tickets/subscriptions can be sold and promoted, information distributed, unveiling new projects and shows, etc. It’s virtually “Great and Personal” advertising event for a $25 donation to FOSPL.

Local theatres, the opera, ballroom dancers, galleries, musicians, performers, hotels, restaurants etc. are invited, to highlight and demonstrate their services and talents in the dramatic splendor of Selby Library’s rotunda, downtown Sarasota.  The many venues will all be happening in tandem for the three hour event.

We are suggesting you be a cultural participant of the fun evening. Stationed hors d’oeuvres, fun foods and cash bars will also be available. I am available to discuss the possibility of you joining forces with us in this event to make it a promotional and financial success.  We expect over 850 people, which was our attendee count in 2014.

The tax-deductible per ticket price for the public will be $25 in advance and $30 at the door.  Friends of the Selby Public Library is a 501(c) (3) organization. The Friends help support Selby Library, and all event proceeds will benefit the Youth Department of Selby Library.
