Summer here in Sarasota is a special time of the year for me. While so many snowbirds anxiously escape the Florida heat and head to cooler climate, I look forward to so many things that make summer here so inviting. The gulf water is finally warm enough for me to go swimming, and now there is a chance to get into that favorite restaurant I always wanted to try.
So for me and all the food lovers & epicureans here in Sarasota, “Savor Sarasota” Restaurant Week is a top reason for many to stay around or make Sarasota a destination. From June 1st thru the 14th , over 65 local restaurants offer 3-course lunch menus for $15 and multi-course dinner for $29.
As a special introduction to this event, “Visit Sarasota County” along with a few of the participating restaurants greeted travelers at the SRQ airport with samples of some of the tastiest dishes that will be showcased during these next two weeks.
