Attached, please find an audio recording of a public comment delivered by Mr. Preven last week, wherein he called for a “Cure and Correct” over an outrageous Brown act violation in which Paul Krekorian’s Budget Finance committee did not properly indicate on a Budget and Finance Committee agenda item 6 [Dec. 8, 2014] that it sought to have developers cover the City’s costs in cases involving Brown Act compliance or the lack thereof.  The “Cure and Correct” asks the City to undo the action it took in full council on item 18, December 16, 2014, so that the many interested parties can be heard. The Brown Act issue here is clear and the stakes are particularly high because a growing number of city residents feel the scheme that was snuck through in Committee is in direct violation of the City Charter and of other laws both here in California and Federally.  City Case file: http://cityclerk.lacity.org/lacityclerkconnect/index.cfm?fa=ccfi.viewrecord&cfnumber=14-1606
