DIERKS BENTLEY, LITTLE BIG TOWN, SALUTE TO HEROES WITH LEE BRICE + MORE – HOT SUMMER SHOWS CONTINUE AT PENNYSAVER AMPITHEATER LONG ISLAND
Farmingville, NY (August 7, 2014) – All throughout August and September 2014, visit Pennysaver Ampitheater, located at 1 Ski Run Lane in Farmingville, NY 11738, to experience the area’s top musical acts in a convenient open air location.
On Saturday August 16th, watch Little Big Town perform with special guests Eli Young band and The Henningsens. Doors at 5pm, show at 7pm. Founded in 1998, Little Big Town has comprised the same four members since its inception: Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook, and Phillip Sweet. The quartet’s musical style relies heavily on four-part vocal harmonies, with all four members alternating as lead singers. The band has charted 14 songs on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts with a new album due in October including their current single “Day Drinking”.
Then, on Friday August 29th, Kip Moore and friends come to town. Doors at 5pm, show at 7pm. The singer-songwriter explored his own experiences of growing up in a small Georgia town and working diligently for years to achieve his musical dreams to create his MCA Nashville debut album, Up All Night, which includes the hit “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck,” and is earning rave reviews from critics.
Our 4th of July fireworks free celebration show was rescheduled to Saturday August 30th – It is now the “End of Summer Fireworks Show” a Free show for Labor Day Weekend, with a rain date of Sunday August 31. Doors at 5pm, first band at 530pm, fireworks at 915pm. The bands Capt. Jack (Billy Joel Tribute) and Uncovered will be performing with Grucci Fireworks to follow.
Wednesday September 10th the Salute To Heroes show is back starring Lee Brice with guests Frankie Ballard and Long Island’s own Lisa Matassa. Doors at 4pm, show at 6pm. On his stunning sophomore album, Hard 2 Love (Curb Records), Lee Brice the four-time Academy of Country Music nominee, demonstrates a new maturity and patience, both in his songwriting and vocals. A portion of each ticket to benefit Suffolk County Firefighter Cancer Support Network and Suffolk County Volunteer Firefighters Burn Center.
The summer season ends on a high note Saturday September 13th with the one and only Dierks Bentley performing. Doors at 5pm, show at 7pm. Seven albums into one of country music’s most-respected and most-unpredictable careers, award-winning singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley continues to grow.
