Conjuring up sonic ghosts and stories that seemingly were interpreted from crop circles, CROBOT are garnering early accolades for their just-released self-titled EP on Wind-up Records (tracklisting below). In his review of the EP for REVOLVER magazine writer Gary Graff wrote:

“…the central Pennsylvania quartet stomps through these four songs with the authority of a group that’s been around for decades, weaving together the deep grooves of stoner rock with grunge, blues, and metal influences. ‘Legend of the Spaceborne Killer’ sets the fuzz-drenched tone, but it’s the semi-epic ‘La Mano de Lucifer’ that really lets Crobot stretch out into heavy space-blues territory that showcases both Brandon Yeagley’s vocals and Chris Bishop’s guitar heroics. This’ll do for now, but our appetite is fully whetted for Crobot’s next full-length.” (May 2014)

The group has announced “Nowhere To Hide”–the first single off the new EP–will hit radio this week. CROBOT hasre-teamed with Machine to produce their forthcoming sophomore album—due out late 2014–and first full-length release on Wind-up Records. CROBOT’s self-released debut album The Legend of the Spaceborne Killer seamlessly captured the powerful packed punch of the vocals of lead singer BRANDON YEAGLEY and the head bobbing guitar riffs of CHRIS BISHOP.  With the crucial additions of JAKE FIGUEROA on bass guitar perfectly accompanying his brother PAUL FIGUEROA with sticks of thunder, CROBOT found the formula to take them into the riff-rock abyss and beyond.

After breakout live performances at the sold-out Rock On The Range festival, SXSW 2014 and tours with artists including Clutch, The Sword, Truckfighters, Kyng, Kill Devil Hill, and more festivals on the horizon, the possibilities for CROBOT’s interstellar domination in 2014 and 2015 are endless.

CROBOT is:
BRANDON YEAGLEY (lead vocals, harmonica), CHRIS BISHOP (guitar, vocals), JAKE FIGUEROA (bass), PAUL FIGUEROA (drums)

More live reviews for CROBOT:

“…for fans of Soundgarden and Queens of the Stone Age.”

–Jeff Miers, BUFFALO NEWS (Buffalo, NY, May 14, 2014)

“What would happen if The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, Queens of the Stone Age and everything you love about 70’s metal had a love child? Well they did and its name is Crobot. At Rock on The Range 2014 they completely dominated, quickly drawing a crowd as they heard the funky metal sound emanating from the Jagermeister Stage and when getting there were given visual bliss by a magnetic performance. With a stage performance that is wild, brutal and sexy all at once, they’re poised to take over the metal world as a band that can crossover into many genres and find fans among many musical tastes.”

–Alan D. Welding, PITTSBURGH MUSIC MAGAZINE (May 20, 2014)

“The love child of Russell Brand and Josh Homme, CROBOT crushed their debut at Rock On The Range. Vocalist Brandon Yeagley moved like a man possessed to the heavy bass lines of Jake Figueroa.”

–Daniel DeSlover, EXAMINER, (May 20,2014)

“Pennsylvania rock act CROBOT provided a soulful and energetic performance. If Foxy Shazam and The Sword had a musical love child.”

-Liz Ramanaud, LOUDWIRE (May 11,2014)

CROBOT embodies the old school mentality of leaving every ounce of energy on the stage in order to mesmerize the audience. Stirring together the finest riff rattling chord progressions of Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith with the rhythmic funk of Stevie Wonder and 90s heaviness of Rage Against The Machine, CROBOT performed in front of a small New York City crowd as if they were Queen headlining Wembley Stadium. On stage, the band’s passionate delivery flooded onto the audience leaving many with gleaming eyes in awe of what they just witnessed. Dressed in vintage attire such as vests and bell bottoms, CROBOT’s ability to merge the bombastic thrills of past and present rock music demonstrated something euphoric and transcendent that is desperately lacking in music nowadays. Trusting in the laws of attraction, I’m confident this band’s dedication to their craft will eventually lead them to the promised land of a massive fanbase.”

–Anthony Toto, BAEBLE MUSIC (May 8, 2014)
