DENVER – April 11, 2016 – It’s time to grab your toga and return to Faber College for the wildest frat party ever when National Lampoon’s Animal House joins the year-long lineup of Fathom Events and Turner Classic Movies’ TCM Big Screen Classics series. The event will take place at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. local time on Sunday, Aug. 14, and Wednesday, Aug. 17, and includes specially produced commentary from a TCM host before and after the feature.

“National Lampoon’s Animal House” joins a slate of timeless classics returning to the big screen nationwide all year long. Upcoming events include Marlon Brando’s incendiary performance in “On the Waterfront” in theaters on April 24 and 27, followed by a 30th anniversary celebration of “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” on May 15 and 18.

Tickets for the “TCM Big Screen Classics” series can be purchased online at www.FathomEvents.com or at over 600 participating movie theater box offices. For a complete list of theater locations visit the Fathom Events website (theaters and participants are subject to change).

From Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, “National Lampoon’s Animal House” stars comedy legend John Belushi and is the ultimate college movie filled with food fights, fraternities and toga parties. Follow the uproarious escapades of the Delta House fraternity as they take on Dean Wormer (John Vernon), the sanctimonious Omegas, and the entire female student body. Directed by John Landis (“The Blues Brothers”), the most popular college comedy of all time also stars Tim Matheson, Donald Sutherland, Karen Allen, Kevin Bacon, Tom Hulce and Stephen Furst along with Otis Day and the Knights performing their show-stopping rendition of “Shout.”

“National Lampoon’s Animal House is one of those iconic classic comedies that is best enjoyed on the big screen with your friends,” said Fathom Events Vice President of Studio Relations Tom Lucas. “It remains today a box office success replete with memorable movie quotes, inspired comedic-acting and a high-energy soundtrack. It is a great addition to our TCM Big Screen Classics series.”
