“…the perfect rock record” – NYLON

“Cold Fronts put on a lively show. Frontman Craig Almquist has a captivating stage presence.
Their songs are catchy and energizing. It is almost impossible to not get wrapped up
in their performance. Fantastic!” – Pancakes and Whiskey (NYC)

“Pushing a lo-fi sound, Cold Fronts have a very familiar and accessible style. With their music in the past
bordering early The Strokes with heavy set guitars at one end, at the other they have resembled a mix
of early Hot Hot Heat and Weezer with their vocal hooks and overall structure.” – Earmilk
iTunes has hand-selected “Hit Me” by Philadelphia-based indie rockers Cold Fronts, as part of this week’s ‘Free on iTunes’ promotion. The track will be free to download until Monday, May 18th. Previous artists to participate in the program include Father John Misty, Sleater-Kinney, PVRIS, and The Wombats, among others.

The band is also set to play their first ever gig outside the United States. Cold Fronts are currently en route to perform at The Great Escape festival in Brighton, UK and will be rocking the stage at Patterns (Upstairs) at 7:45pm on Thursday, May 14th. They’ll also be making a stop at Firefly festival in Dover, DE next month.

Led by the extremely charismatic, Craig Almquist, Cold Fronts are becoming known as the life of the party rock band that has brought a refreshing energy to the scene. Whether it’s releasing a ten-minute rendition of Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You” in celebration of the singer’s birthday, performing on top of a bar, or tweeting their original love song “Baby HAIM” to Alana Haim herself, the band’s fun spirit is truly infectious and we’ll be seeing and hearing a lot more from them in the future.

Cold Fronts released their EP, ‘Forever’ in November of last year via Sire Records. After staking claim as vets in their native Philly and with a dynamic live show, the band became 2013’s winners for the Jansport Battle of the Bands contest at SXSW – a feat that sparked interest from Warner Bros. exec./Sire Records founder, Seymour Stein (The Ramones, Madonna). At a recent gig at Baby’s All Right in Williamsburg, Brooklyn-based site Pancakes and Whiskey described its attendance as “Easily the best decision I have made in a long time,” and adds, “Cold Fronts put on a lively show. Frontman Craig Almquist has a captivating stage presence. Their songs are catchy and energizing. It is almost impossible to not get wrapped up in their performance. Fantastic!”

‘Forever’ EP was produced by Kyle Johnson (Wavves, The Hives, Modest Mouse, So So Glos) and captures the band’s signature garage rock with a dose of surf pop and just the right amount of polish. It’s full of songs that will take up residency in your brain for days thanks to the unforgettable harmonies and lingering melodies.

The ‘Forever’ EP is available for purchase now on iTunes and Amazon.
