CIRQUE BERSERK! TO RETURN TO THE PEACOCK THEATRE IN FEBRUARY 2018 TO CELEBRATE 250TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE INVENTION OF CIRCUS
Zippos Circus is delighted to announce that Cirque Berserk!, the UK’s biggest and boldest theatre/circus spectacular, will be returning to the West End for a limited two-week engagement at London’s Peacock Theatre next February.

Combining beautiful contemporary circus artistry with hair-raising, death-defying stunts, all designed specially for staging in a proscenium arch theatre, the show will enthral thrill-seeking audiences.

Next year’s Cirque Berserk! will see the return of its most famous – and most dangerous – act, the legendary ‘Globe of Death’, in which four motorcyclists defy gravity and risk life and limb traversing the inside of a spherical steel cage at speeds of up to 60 miles per hour. They will be joined by a magnificent company of over 30 jugglers, acrobats, aerialists, dancers, drummers and daredevil stuntmen from all corners of the globe.

The production will play at the Peacock Theatre from 5 February to 17 February 2018, before embarking on a 40-week UK tour.

About the 250th anniversary of circus

The art of the circus was born in 1768, when showman and entrepreneur Philip Astley first drew out a circular arena on an abandoned patch of land in Waterloo and filled it with astonishing equestrian acrobatics. Cirque Berserk! is proud to be part of #Circus250, a UK-wide celebration of 250 years of the circus championed by Sir Peter Blake, who has designed the organisation’s logo.
